Remote Staff Front-End Engineer (South America)

Description:

• The Staff Front-End Engineer position is for a Full-Time Contractor based in South America to work on learning products and platforms.
• The role involves collaborating with Product and Design teams to create customer-centric experiences.
• Responsibilities include architecting scalable software solutions, implementing best practices, and ensuring high performance and extensibility.
• The engineer will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and contribute to the vision of the system.
• The position is fully remote and involves working with big data, machine learning, and innovative technologies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience with a focus on complex systems.
• Proficiency in React and Typescript is highly preferred.
• Experience in setting up and maintaining CD/CI workflows for Front End services.
• Strong knowledge of modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS and the ability to learn new technology stacks quickly.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to code, review others' code, and implement customer-focused solutions.
• Understanding and alignment with Nerdy's focus on helping people learn without political distractions.
