Description:
Weave is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to enhance the patient experience through a unified platform.
The role involves shaping the frontend infrastructure and ensuring robust, scalable, and developer-friendly authentication and authorization libraries.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers.
The position requires building features for Weave's client application using web technologies such as TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
You will work closely with designers, backend developers, and product managers to create functional and user-friendly web pages from design mockups.
Responsibilities include conducting thorough testing of applications, identifying and fixing bugs, and writing unit and integration tests.
You will optimize web applications for speed and scalability across various devices and browsers.
The role includes leading the maintenance and enhancement of authentication and authorization experiences, ensuring well-designed and documented APIs.
You will provide architectural guidance and technical direction across multiple teams.
Mentoring engineers and establishing development standards to improve code quality and productivity are key aspects of the role.
You will tackle vague problems and develop innovative solutions that impact the organization broadly.
The position prioritizes local candidates from Utah but is open to remote candidates in the US if their experience aligns.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience developing rich applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other web technologies.
A minimum of 6+ years of experience with modern web application frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue is required.
Experience in building high-performance, reusable code, particularly UI components, is essential.
Proven experience in building, maintaining, and evolving authentication and authorization systems is necessary.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on creating scalable solutions are required.
Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders are a must.
A strong desire to solve meaningful problems for customers is essential.
Experience with consuming RESTful APIs and debugging is required.
