As a Staff Engineer, you will drive the development of complex, distributed payment systems that handle hundreds of billions of dollars globally.
You will lead by example as a top-tier individual contributor, shaping technical direction and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence the future infrastructure of compliant crypto transactions worldwide.
Responsibilities include leading the design and development of scalable front-end and full-stack solutions, collaborating with product and design teams, owning complex projects, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to engineering practices and architecture.
Requirements:
Proven ownership of complex projects from ideation to deployment, collaborating with multiple stakeholders is essential.
A minimum of 10 years of front-end development experience, with comfort across the stack, is required.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern web frameworks, with a quick learning ability for new technologies such as SvelteKit, React, and Next.js.
At least 3 years of experience in secure, complex domains such as crypto, identity, compliance, fintech, or payments is necessary.
Skills in RESTful APIs, web sockets, and event-driven data flows, ideally in payments or identity systems, are required.
Deep knowledge of web security and PII best practices for handling sensitive data is essential.
Experience with relational databases, particularly Postgres, is required.
A track record of delivering complex software solutions with attention to detail and quality is necessary.
Experience mentoring and supporting high-performing engineering teams is required.
Candidates should have experience in fast-paced, high-autonomy environments and be self-motivated and proactive.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a global, remote-first company are essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
