This is a remote opportunity for applicants from the Canadian Eastern and Central time zones only.
The DataViz squad is part of the Grafana Frontend group, responsible for the majority of visualizations in Grafana, including Histogram, Time series, Geomap, and Canvas.
The mission is to make all data visualization useful, performant, and extensible for users to make informed decisions with their data.
Collaboration is essential, providing opportunities to work across the Grafana Frontend team and with other squads to drive innovation and solve engineering challenges.
As a Staff Software Engineer in the DataViz squad, you will take on a leadership role, focusing on performance, maintainability, and extensibility of panel visualizations.
Responsibilities include influencing the roadmap, mentoring team members, writing design documents, participating in on-call rotations, providing technical support, and collaborating with other squads.

Requirements:

You must be comfortable working in a remote-first company and understand the importance of communication, with the ability to communicate clearly in English.

A solid professional experience as a Frontend Engineer with an interest in data visualization and transformation is required.

The base compensation range for this role in Canada is CAD 174,176 - CAD 209,011, with actual compensation varying based on level, experience, and skillset.
