Description:
- The Staff Frontend Software Engineer will join the Square Platform Team to enable sellers to manage core lifecycle aspects of their business within Square’s ecosystem.
- Responsibilities include leading the design and development of multiple products and solutions used by sellers at a high scale.
- The role involves delivering cross-functional projects on tight deadlines, fostering a positive team culture, and shaping technical direction.
- The engineer will work on improving application architecture and testing, optimizing the seller experience, and building frontend interfaces crucial to the Square onboarding process.
- The position requires maintaining high engineering standards to ensure secure systems for processing payments and protecting customer data.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in frontend engineering with a strong track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Extensive experience with multiple architectural styles and high-scale systems, demonstrating the ability to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Proven ability to deliver cross-functional projects on tight deadlines while balancing technical excellence with business needs.
- Strong leadership skills to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Proficiency in modern frontend technologies and frameworks, with a deep understanding of software development best practices.
