Remote Staff FrontEnd Software Engineer (South America)

Description:

• The Staff Frontend Software Engineer position is a full-time contractor role based in South America.
• The role involves working with a collaborative team to drive the technology of learning products and platforms.
• Engineers actively participate in discussions on building systems and solutions that matter to customers.
• The position requires architecting scalable software solutions, implementing best practices, and creating highly performant and extensible technology.
• The Staff Front End Engineer will provide technical guidance, mentorship, and play a pivotal role in shaping the vision of the system.
• The role involves working remotely and collaborating with Product and Design teams to enhance the experience for tutors and optimize the tutor-supply chain.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience with a track record of working on complex systems.
• Strong experience with React and Typescript is preferred.
• Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CD/CI workflows for Front End services.
• In-depth knowledge of modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectures.
• Experience with AWS.
• Ability to learn new technology stacks quickly to address business problems.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to code, review others' code, and implement customer-facing solutions that meet customers' needs.
• Understanding and appreciation of Nerdy as an apolitical company focused on helping people learn.
