Remote Staff FrontEnd Software Engineer (South America)

Description:

• The Staff FrontEnd Software Engineer position is a full-time contractor role based in South America, specifically in Brazil.
• The role involves working with a collaborative team to drive the technology of learning products and platforms.
• Engineers at Nerdy actively participate in discussions on building systems and solutions that matter to customers.
• The position requires architecting scalable software solutions, implementing best practices, and creating highly performant and extensible technology.
• The Staff Front End Engineer will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and contribute to shaping the vision of complex systems.
• The role includes remote work and collaboration with Product and Design teams to enhance the experience for tutors and optimize the tutor-supply chain.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience with a focus on complex systems.
• Strong experience with React and Typescript is preferred.
• Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CD/CI workflows for Front End services.
• In-depth knowledge of modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectures.
• Experience with AWS and the ability to learn new technology stacks quickly.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to code, review others' code, and implement customer-facing solutions that address true customer needs.
