Description:

  • The Staff Frontend Software Engineer position is a full-time contractor role based in South America.
  • The role involves working with a collaborative team to drive the technology of learning products and platforms.
  • Engineers at Nerdy actively participate in discussions on building systems and solutions for customers.
  • The position requires architecting scalable software solutions, implementing best practices, and creating highly performant and extensible technology.
  • The Staff Front End Engineer will provide technical guidance, mentorship, and play a key role in shaping the vision of the system.
  • The role includes technical leadership, solution design, code quality advocacy, collaboration with stakeholders, and problem-solving.
  • The position also involves mentoring team members and contributing to the engineering department's strategy and vision.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience with a focus on complex systems.
  • Strong experience with React and Typescript is preferred.
  • Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CD/CI workflows for Front End services.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectures.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Growth mindset to learn new technology stacks and languages as needed.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to code, review others' code, and implement customer-facing solutions.
