Description:
The Staff Frontend Software Engineer position is a full-time contractor role based in South America, specifically in Uruguay.
The role involves working with a collaborative team to drive the technology of learning products and platforms.
Engineers at Nerdy actively participate in discussions on building systems and solutions that matter to customers.
The position requires architecting scalable software solutions, implementing best practices, and creating highly performant and extensible technology.
The Staff Front End Engineer will provide technical guidance, mentorship, and play a key role in shaping the vision of the system to enhance the experience for tutors and optimize the tutor-supply chain.
The role involves technical leadership, solution design, ensuring code quality, collaboration with stakeholders, contributing to the engineering department's strategy, problem-solving, and team development.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience with a focus on complex systems.
Strong experience with React and Typescript is preferred.
Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CD/CI workflows for Front End services.
In-depth knowledge of modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectures.
Experience with AWS.
Ability to learn new technology stacks quickly to address business problems.
Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Willingness to be hands-on, including coding and reviewing others' code.
Capability to implement customer-facing solutions that address customers' true needs.
