Description:

  • HumanSignal is looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to contribute to building end-to-end solutions for their data labeling platform.
  • The Full Stack Engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to develop robust, intuitive, and performant web applications.
  • Responsibilities include developing and maintaining backend services and frontend components, designing and building RESTful APIs, creating responsive user interfaces, and participating in code reviews and architecture discussions.
  • The role offers the opportunity to influence the entire technology stack, mentor other engineers, and contribute to the democratization of data labeling through AI and automation.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in developing full stack applications with proficiency in backend (Python, Java, Go, Kotlin, Scala, Rust) and frontend (React, Angular, Vue.js) technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+), focusing on cross-browser compatibility, accessibility principles, and delivering maintainable code.
  • Proven experience in building scalable backend services and APIs using frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or similar.
  • Familiarity with database systems (Postgres, BigQuery) and working with streaming event and messaging architectures (Kafka, Spark).
  • Comfort working across the entire stack, including state management libraries, frontend build tools, and cloud platforms.
  • High user empathy, design skills, and a drive to build intuitive interfaces that solve real user problems.
  • Passion for communication and collaboration, using tools like TDDs, code reviews, and feedback to drive team success.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and hold a BSCS or related degree.
