Description:
10x Genomics is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative tools for biological analysis.
The role involves interaction with computational biologists, scientists, infrastructure teams, and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities include creating software services, tooling, and infrastructure, as well as building application frameworks and templates for other developers.
The engineer will automate quality control processes and create applications that track vital experimental information.
The position focuses on developing, testing, and shipping robust software, primarily using React applications on AWS services.
The engineer will also build backend services in AWS to support various 10x products and services.
The role offers exposure to new technologies and the opportunity to develop tools and services for R&D efforts.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, along with 6 years of software development experience; OR 8 years of professional software development experience is required.
Significant programming experience and expertise in Python is mandatory.
Significant programming experience and expertise in Javascript for front-end development is required.
Proficiency with Go and React is preferred.
An excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals is desired.
Expertise with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred.
Development experience with TypeScript is a plus.
Experience in testing and deploying applications in cloud or production environments is preferred.
A deep understanding of testing, build, continuous integration, deployment, and continuous monitoring is required.
Experience in designing long-term data storage solutions is preferred.
Candidates should demonstrate disciplined and rigorous software engineering practices.
A willingness to solve problems across the tech stack is essential.
A background in biology is not required, but curiosity and scientific interest are valued.
Benefits:
The position offers a competitive base pay range of $183,000 to $275,000 USD, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
