Description:

  • The Staff Machine Learning Engineer at SurveyMonkey will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance pipelines managing the end-to-end lifecycle of ML models.
  • They will provide strong technical leadership, act as a consultant to management, and educate leadership on decisions affecting ML.
  • The role involves integrating, testing, and monitoring ML model services across SurveyMonkey's product portfolio, collaborating with application engineers, and applying machine learning techniques at scale and in real-time.
  • The Staff ML Engineer will work on generative AI, natural language processing, classification, spam detection, personalization/ranking, and more.
  • Collaboration with the Machine Learning Platform (MLP) team and SurveyMonkey's microservices architecture will be essential.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of MLOps experience in designing and implementing ML cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining ML systems using Python (including Pandas, NumPy, PySpark) for efficient ML operations.
  • Ability to lead requirements collection, negotiate architectural decisions, and ensure platform scalability.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, including large language models, and applying them effectively in ML projects.
  • Mastery of machine learning concepts like supervised and unsupervised learning and driving innovative solutions.
  • Comfort with Unix/Linux systems, strong communication, and documentation skills.
  • Capability to handle ambiguity and deliver results to meet changing needs.

Benefits:

  • The base pay for this position ranges from $171,360/year to $257,040/year, depending on the geographic market and assuming a full-time schedule.
