Description:

  • Reddit is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join the Notifications Relevance team, responsible for delivering personalized content to users through various channels.
  • The role involves solving challenging problems like budgeting optimization, candidate retrieval, and ranking to enhance user engagement.
  • Responsibilities include designing and implementing content discovery algorithms, developing scalable systems, leading technical roadmaps, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • The position requires influencing technology choices, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring junior engineers to foster innovation and craftsmanship.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of post-internship industry experience and a MS or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in building and productionizing candidate retrieval and ranking machine learning models at scale.
  • Deep understanding of industry-scale recommendation systems and proficiency in Python, Golang, PyTorch, or Tensorflow.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing tools like Dataflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, BigQuery, and Ray is a plus.
  • Familiarity with deep learning recommendation model training using distributed frameworks and hardware resource utilization.
