The Staff Machine Learning Engineer will contribute to improving demand forecasting and positioning algorithms.
The role involves setting and executing a multi-year ML strategy, incorporating state-of-the-art technologies, processes, and techniques.
Collaboration with engineering, product, data science, operations, and other teams is essential to make informed technical and product decisions.
The engineer will also coach other engineers and data scientists.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of industry professional software engineering and/or machine learning experience with a proven track record of building and maintaining successful products.
Experience with a variety of machine learning techniques is required.
Strong collaboration skills are necessary for working cross-functionally with product managers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
A passion for helping teammates grow and influencing the technical culture is essential.
The ability to set a technical vision and execute against it is required.
A sense of urgency to get things done and deliver incrementally is important.
Preferred experience includes specific expertise in forecasting demand, reinforcement learning, online learning, and an interest in experimenting with large language models (LLMs).
