Description:
Calibrate is seeking a Staff Mobile (React Native) Engineer to work on their mission of changing the way the world treats weight.
The company aims to improve metabolic health and drive long-term weight loss through a program designed by world leaders in obesity and nutrition science.
The Staff Mobile Engineer will partner with product and design teams to release solutions for impactful user and business problems.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing front-end architecture, developing features for the Calibrate Mobile App using React Native, managing technical dependencies, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications.
The role also involves participating in code reviews, providing mentorship, making decisions aligned with organizational objectives, and staying updated with industry trends and technologies.
The ideal candidate should have deep experience in mobile development using React Native, 8+ years of software development experience, strong skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and experience with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Other requirements include proficiency in state management libraries, software engineering, debugging, communication skills, UI/UX design principles, RESTful APIs, security practices, cloud services, and CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements:
Deep experience in mobile development using React Native.
8+ years of software development experience with strong skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Extensive experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
Proficiency in systematic debugging, incident management, and operational monitoring.
Excellent communication skills and ability to foster effective communication and collaboration.
Experience with UI/UX design principles and practices.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration with back-end services.
Deep understanding of security principles and practices.
Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong strategic thinking and ability to align team efforts with organizational goals.
