Description:

Zscaler is seeking a Staff Network Engineer to join their global network engineering team, working remotely from anywhere in the Netherlands.
The role involves deploying, operating, monitoring, and supporting the Zscaler worldwide production network across multiple data centers.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in operating enterprise or telecom data center networks and possess qualities such as creativity, self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to engineering excellence.
Participation in an on-call rotation during weekends and holidays is required.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5-8 years of experience with high-speed fiber Ethernet networks.
Expert-level hands-on experience in BGP routing operation, design, and troubleshooting in both IPv4 and IPv6 for large-scale Enterprise or Telecom networks is essential.
A deep knowledge of DNS, HTTPS, GRE, and IPsec protocols, along with hands-on troubleshooting experience, is required.
Real-life experience in troubleshooting L2 and L3 Ethernet networks is necessary.
An in-depth understanding of networking concepts, including performance parameters of the TCP/IP stack, and hands-on experience with IP-packet analysis using Wireshark is needed.
