Description:

  • The Staff Network Engineer position at ServiceNow involves supporting US Federal customers.
  • The role focuses on maintaining network infrastructure, identifying, and remediating vulnerabilities.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading network device upgrades, and ensuring network security.
  • The successful candidate will work on vulnerability management, security incidents, audits, compliance assessments, and documentation.
  • They will also plan and execute network device upgrades, collaborate with project managers, and serve as the main point of contact for Vulnerability Management in the US.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in ISP and data center networks.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with network technologies like BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, HSRP/VRRP, IPSEC, SNMP.
  • Deep knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, including traffic analysis using tools like Wireshark.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability databases, assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys), and penetration testing frameworks (e.g., Metasploit, tennable).
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, F5, Palo Alto operating systems; NGINX and Fortinet knowledge is a plus.
  • Understanding of cloud computing technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and CI/CD practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and Automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, customer empathy, and the ability to work in a globally distributed team.

  • Base pay of $123,800 - $216,500 for positions in California (outside the Bay Area), plus equity, variable/incentive compensation, and benefits.
