Remote Staff Network Engineer

Description:

• The Staff Network Engineer will help scale Lambda’s high-performance cloud network.
• The role involves contributing to the reproducible automation of network configuration.
• The engineer will contribute to the design and development of software-defined networks.
• Responsibilities include managing Spine and Leaf networks.
• The engineer will ensure high availability of the network through monitoring, failover, and redundancy.
• The role requires ensuring that VMs and clients have predictable networking performance using QoS and other applicable technologies.
• The engineer will assist with deploying and maintaining network monitoring and management tools.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 15+ years of experience in building and managing complex networks.
• Experience leading the implementation of production-scale networking projects is required.
• Familiarity with Spine and Leaf (Clos) network topology is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience with multi-data center networks and hybrid cloud networks.
• Experience in building and maintaining Software Defined Networks (SDN) is essential.
• Candidates must have experience designing, building, and operating BGP EVPN VXLAN networks.
• Proficiency on the Linux command line and an understanding of the Linux networking stack are required.
• Python programming experience is necessary.
