Description:

  • Cruise is seeking a Staff Network Security Engineer to help architect, build, and operate secure, scalable access networks across their global facilities.
  • The role involves ensuring network designs are secure and implementing an effective network automation strategy covering observability, device lifecycle management, security policy, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Responsibilities include identity management, access-layer network controls, policy management, remote client VPN system strategy, endpoint vulnerability identification and remediation, and edge access policy dissemination.
  • The position requires participation in an on-call rotation and collaboration with disparate network teams to shape a convergence strategy for network equipment from various vendors.

Requirements:

  • Experience in running and guiding network operations and observability initiatives.
  • Senior resource in a network operations team supporting Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Aruba platforms.
  • Expertise in engineering and deploying access layer connectivity and policies via scalable automation.
  • Proficiency in managing and utilizing network monitoring systems and integrating them for automation consumption.
  • Strong knowledge of network security best practices, design patterns, and troubleshooting of networking protocols.
  • Expertise in edge firewall technologies, remote VPN solutions, and SASE & SD-WAN architectures.
  • Experience with automation languages and platforms/technologies such as Terraform, GitHub, Python, GoLang, Jupyter, Batfish, Docker, K8s, and Ansible.
