Remote Staff Platform Engineer (SRE/DevOps)

Description:

• Huntress is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer (SRE/DevOps) to join their remote team in the US.
• The role involves developing tools and frameworks to automate operational tasks and deployments for the Portal and Endpoint Agents in AWS and on end-user machines.
• Responsibilities include enhancing observability capabilities for better scalability and system health, developing tools in test and production environments, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and supporting product development teams in software architecture design.
• The position requires a passion for stability, resilience, and scalability within a high-performing team.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 7+ years of experience with autoscaling application architecture in AWS Cloud Environments.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience working on Linux-based infrastructure is required.
• High coding proficiency in Ruby, Go, and/or Python is preferred.
• Experience with automation using Terraform is necessary.
• Candidates should have configuration and infrastructure management experience for databases such as Postgres on RDS.
• Familiarity with observability tools like DataDog and NewRelic is required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate between multiple teams.
