Description:
Serve Robotics is seeking a Staff Platform Security Engineer to enhance security practices within the organization.
The role involves leading technical security requirements for the production cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities include threat modeling, developing runtime security measures for container environments, and defining hardening criteria for the infrastructure stack.
The engineer will design security tooling to identify vulnerabilities and assist in creating automated checks for various configurations.
The position also requires supporting internal and third-party security penetration testing and participating in the Security team on-call rotation.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience as a security engineer or a combination of security engineering, software development, and operations in a lead or staff role.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on technical work experience is required.
Deep expertise in Cloud Computing, Linux, and network security is essential, with experience in Kubernetes being a plus.
Strong knowledge of networking and internet protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, and HTTP is necessary.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of secure authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML 2.0) and cryptographic key management.
Some scripting and programming experience for security automation (Python, bash) is required, with familiarity in C, C++, and JavaScript being a bonus.
Strong experience with security tools and services within AWS and GCP is needed.
Desirable certifications include Google Cloud Security Professional, AWS Cloud Security Practitioner, and CISSP, though they are not required.
A deep understanding of Security in the Software Development Life Cycle and familiarity with security frameworks and standards (ISO27001, NIST CSF) is important.
