Remote Staff / Principal Front End Engineer

Description:

• Seeking a Principal Front End Engineer to significantly shape the front-end engineering team at Flatfile
• Opportunity to contribute to the core platform's user interface and solve complex problems
• Role pivotal in achieving company goals in data exchange
• Requires 7+ years of experience in front-end development with a focus on React, TypeScript, and performant, accessible user interfaces
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Customer Success, Sales, etc., to prioritize product features and plan future work
• Opportunity to influence product development, continuous learning, and use cutting-edge technology
• Responsible for building high-quality, sustainable codebases, researching new technologies, and improving front-end applications
• Provide leadership, strategic guidance, shape architectural direction, and make complex technical decisions
• Involved in product feature prioritization, mentoring, teaching, and team betterment

Requirements:

• Experience in developer-first, API/open-source-based companies, or high-growth SaaS startups
• Leading complex front-end development projects with successful delivery and providing technical leadership
• Understanding of front-end architectural patterns, best practices, and performance optimization
• Passion for seeking and implementing new designs, tools, and methods to improve technology and software quality
• Technologically curious, staying updated with industry trends, advancements, and incorporating relevant knowledge
