Remote Staff / Principal Software Engineer

Description:

• Deep Origin is seeking a Staff / Principal Software Engineer to join their team.
• The role involves being a key member of the software engineering team responsible for building the core cloud platform and integrating with key partners.
• Responsibilities include designing and developing complex large-scale systems, writing APIs that integrate with various cloud providers and partners, and owning key software feature areas and their architectural design.
• The position offers a high level of independence and impact on software implementation.

Requirements:

• Must have experience as a staff/principal engineer or technical lead.
• Requires 10+ years of experience in designing, building, and operating complex, highly scalable, distributed applications and systems.
• Need to have 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with TypeScript/JavaScript/NodeJS.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Postgres) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) is necessary.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and Cloud infrastructure/deployment tools, specifically with cluster operations and operators.
• Should have built platforms from an early stage and scaled platforms to handle many users (10,000+ DAU).
• Must possess extensive system-design experience and experience working with distributed systems/platforms.
• Ability to think about architecture first and how the code fits in second.
• Experience working with/implementing a multi-tenant system.
• Requires a systematic problem-solving approach, a strong sense of ownership and drive, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working in high-energy startups with fast product delivery mechanisms is preferred.
