Description:
Honeycomb is an observability platform that helps engineering teams solve problems in cloud applications.
The Staff Security Engineer will be a foundational member of the security team, establishing collaboration and security standards.
The role involves contributing to the long-term security roadmap and providing guidance and hands-on technical work.
Responsibilities include collaborating with Product and Engineering teams for security reviews, developing vulnerability remediation strategies, and determining necessary security tools.
The engineer will help maintain a culture of partnership and iterative improvement while promoting security in a cloud-native environment.
The position requires responding to information security issues throughout the software development lifecycle and engaging with the security community for best practices.
Requirements:
Candidates must have interdisciplinary experience in the security field, with a strength in application security and full-stack engineering skills.
Experience with Enterprise customers and understanding their security expectations is essential.
The ability to adjust expectations and balance planned security initiatives with urgent issues is required.
Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to collaborate with cross-functional partners are necessary.
Candidates should be able to balance security concerns with delivering value to customers, working in small iterations.
Benefits:
The position offers a base pay range of $210,000 - $235,000 USD and generous equity options.
