Ondo Finance is seeking an experienced Staff Security Engineer to join their remote team in the U.S.
The role involves working in a fast-paced crypto organization with a focus on blockchain, web app, and cloud security.
As the first dedicated security engineering hire, the candidate will have significant ownership from day one and a clear path for career progression.
The position aims to ensure Ondo remains secure and trustworthy, enhancing security and business agility while aligning security initiatives with business priorities.
Responsibilities include partnering with product and engineering teams for security reviews, ensuring compliance with regulations, leading product risk management, overseeing security monitoring and reporting, and managing partner and client diligence.

Requirements:

Candidates must be based in PT, MT, CT, or ET time zones.
Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
Proven experience in risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing is essential.
A minimum of 5 years of experience securing modern software systems, particularly with a focus on blockchain technology, is necessary.
Deep expertise in securing blockchain-based applications and infrastructure is required.
Nice to have skills include experience with auditing, static analysis, fuzz testing, and formal verification of smart contracts in languages such as Solidity, Rust-Solana, Move, and Go.
Additional nice to haves include deep networking experience, familiarity with modern security tooling, understanding of bridging fundamentals and interoperability protocols, knowledge of multisignature technology and cold storage, and experience building secure CI/CD systems for smart contract deployments.
