As a Staff Security Engineer within the CyberSecurity Tribe, the primary objective is to safeguard Back Market's information assets.
The SecOps team manages Security Architecture & Engineering topics and actively monitors, responds to, and remediates incidents.
The role involves leading technical improvements to the company's security posture, ensuring resilience to threats.
Responsibilities include guiding and executing large, complex projects, identifying blockers to efficiency, and ensuring focus on critical decisions.
The position requires sharing time between supporting technical teams, enhancing security controls, mentoring fellow Security Engineers, and designing modern security solutions.
The role also involves monitoring security alerts, investigating incidents, collaborating on threat intelligence, and maintaining security incident detection procedures.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience securing web services in dynamic cloud environments.
Proven experience as a Security Engineer or SOC analyst with cross-team influence is required.
A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, techniques, and best practices is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to plan and execute large, complex projects with interdependencies.
Collaboration with leaders across the company to maximize business impact with minimal resources is necessary.
Experience in security automation and the ability to develop scripts and tools is important.
Candidates must be comfortable conducting Security Requirement Analysis and proposing cybersecurity architectures.
Expertise in threat intelligence, attack patterns, vulnerability analysis, and remediation is required.
Familiarity with edge protection technologies, SIEM tools, and network security technologies is necessary.
Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, TypeScript, and Golang is required.
Great verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
Certification such as (ISC)² CISSP, CCSP, or CSSLP is a plus, or candidates should be willing to obtain it.
