Description:
The Staff Security Engineer will be responsible for championing security efforts for the application platforms at 1Password.
They will design, build, and maintain tools, software, and systems to secure the application platform.
The role involves owning the delivery and success of application security projects across engineering teams and departments.
The engineer will partner with security and product engineers to create technical strategy and vision for securing applications.
They will provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers within the team and across the security and engineering organizations.
The position offers a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software or application security engineer.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a technical leader.
Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and securing critical production systems in areas like data security, cryptography, identity and access management, etc.
Strong communication skills and ability to build technical partnerships with internal stakeholders.
Ability to translate technical and compliance requirements into engineering execution.
Strong desire to grow as a security engineer and educate other engineers.
