Description:

GoGuardian is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to enhance the security posture of its products and internal operations.
The role involves leading high-impact security initiatives and collaborating with engineering and IT teams to implement best practices for data, infrastructure, and user protection.
The position is part of the Security Engineering team, responsible for managing the security of data, applications, and cloud infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include designing security strategies, identifying vulnerabilities, collaborating on secure software development, incident response, identity management, and compliance support.
The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of cloud security and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, or application security.
Deep expertise in securing cloud-native environments, particularly AWS and GCP, is required.
Strong knowledge of security principles, including encryption, identity management, and threat modeling, is essential.
Experience with DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and automating security testing is necessary.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Java is required.
Hands-on experience with security tools like SIEMs, IDS/IPS, WAFs, and vulnerability scanners is needed.
Incident response experience, including forensic analysis and malware detection, is a must.
Strong communication skills are required to influence and educate engineering teams on security best practices.
