Description:
The Data Security Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security services that support the business.
This role emphasizes the importance of data and automation in achieving the company's mission and requires the ability to employ these elements at scale.
The position involves leading the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive security strategies and solutions.
The architect will design and deploy advanced security controls to safeguard networks, systems, and applications.
Collaboration across disciplines is essential to shape the security services strategy and execution.
Mentoring and guiding new engineers to perform at their best is a key responsibility.
The architect will set and uphold standards for security processes to support high-quality engineering.
Requirements:
A BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required, or 10 years of security domain experience without a degree.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in securing and deploying applications within Cloud Native environments is necessary.
At least 5 years of experience in a dedicated data security role focusing on establishing secure data management and governance processes is required.
Preferred knowledge includes health-tech systems such as Electronic Health Records and Clinical data, with direct experience being advantageous.
Experience in designing and implementing Data Security Controls in multi-cloud and hybrid environments is preferred.
Extensive experience in identifying, evaluating, and triaging data protection-related events using DLP and DSPM methodologies and tools is required.
Experience in implementing and maintaining data protection tools, ensuring optimal configuration and performance, is necessary.
Proficiency in managing policies for data loss prevention (DLP) and detection, including scanning and identifying sensitive data across systems, is required.
Experience with data discovery and classification initiatives to ensure sensitive information is adequately protected is preferred.
Familiarity with tools such as Forcepoint DLP, Symantec DLP, Zscaler, Netskope CASB, and DSPM tools like Cyera, Laminar, and BigID is beneficial.
Certifications such as Security+ and CISSP are preferred.
A minimum of 4 years of experience acting as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting is required.
Experience with health-tech systems, including Electronic Health Records and Clinical data, is preferred.
