Join Jane as a Staff Security Engineer, leading the Security Champions Program within the Application Security team.
Design, launch, and manage a program that empowers both developers and non-developers to integrate security into their daily work.
Provide essential support to security champions throughout the organization, helping them navigate security challenges.
Foster a culture of security ownership and excellence by mentoring security champions within departments and development teams.
Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and resources on secure coding principles and application security tailored to evolving needs.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the Security Champions Program.
Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to promote open communication and collaboration for shared security goals.
Cultivate an inclusive environment where all team members feel valued and empowered to contribute.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in application security engineering, with expertise in secure coding practices and application security principles.
Proven experience in designing, launching, and managing Security Champions Programs, ideally within software or SaaS organizations.
Strong emotional intelligence and exceptional communication skills to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and convey technical concepts empathetically.
Proven leadership in mentoring and coaching, with a track record of fostering growth and inspiring security adoption across teams.
Openness and adaptability, demonstrating flexibility in approach and the ability to embrace new ideas and evolving feedback.
Solid understanding of security frameworks and standards such as OWASP Top Ten, SANS CWE, and NIST.
Educational background in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CSSLP, OSCP) considered a plus.
