Description:

JumpCloud is seeking a Staff Security Engineer and Tech Lead for the DevSecOps team, focusing on building and maintaining infrastructure, software, and automation to monitor and mitigate attacks and vulnerabilities across JumpCloud products and services.
The role involves designing and developing software solutions for protecting data and infrastructure deployed in the cloud.
Responsibilities include interviewing, building, and leading a new team, maintaining infrastructure, developing policy enforcement automation, setting up data ingestion for SIEM, collaborating with DevOps teams, conducting threat model reviews, and mentoring service/feature teams in secure software design principles.
The position is remote and requires collaboration with teams across different time zones.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7-10 years of experience in security engineering with a strong background in software development and architecture.
Substantial production experience with AWS and GCP is required.
Proficiency in writing Golang and extensive experience with Terraform (HCL) and Kubernetes, including containerization technologies, is necessary.
Candidates should be proficient with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions, and possess exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and teams is essential.
Expertise in areas such as red teaming, product security, authentication protocols, or mobile application security is required.
Candidates must be available to work at least 5 hours within US Central Time business hours and be on-call for internal tools/services.
