Description:
Lime is seeking a Staff Security Software Engineer to join their Security team and contribute to revolutionizing urban transportation.
The role involves designing, developing, and implementing security, privacy, fraud, and resiliency solutions in accordance with the NIST framework.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining incident response plans, improving security-related standards and processes, and mentoring junior engineers.
The position requires designing and maintaining robust security guardrails and standards across all Lime teams, utilizing a tech stack that includes Ruby on Rails, Go, C, Typescript, Javascript, Kotlin, Swift, and IaC.
The engineer will scrutinize technology and architecture choices, anticipate challenges, and influence Lime's technical direction.
The role also involves improving Lime’s infrastructure with modern security practices for cloud-native application development and implementing security/privacy controls to protect user data.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 10+ years of combined industry experience, including at least 5 years in software development, with a proven track record of building impactful security products or systems.
Experience in setting up monitoring, metrics, and reporting systems for observability and actionable alerting is required.
A strong understanding of relevant threats, attack patterns, and defense techniques in application and infrastructure security is essential, with fluency in any three programming languages from Ruby on Rails, Go, C, Typescript, Javascript, Kotlin, Swift, and IaC.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of cloud-native application development, with fluency in any two areas such as Web, Mobile, Cloud, IoT, or Firmware.
Proficiency in writing high-quality code in at least one language (python, golang, typescript, Ruby, Javascript, Kotlin, Swift) is necessary.
The ability to communicate risks and priorities effectively to partners, peers, and customers is required.
A self-starter attitude with an owner’s mindset and strong collaboration skills is essential.
