Description:

Lime, the world's largest shared electric vehicle company, is seeking a Staff Security Software Engineer to join their Security team.
The role involves designing, developing, and implementing security, privacy, fraud, and resiliency solutions following the NIST framework.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining incident response plans, improving security-related standards and processes, and mentoring junior engineers.
The ideal candidate should have experience in a startup environment, be a problem solver, and have a forward-thinking mindset.
Tech stack includes Ruby on Rails, Go, C, Typescript, Javascript, Kotlin, Swift, and IaC.
Tasks include setting up monitoring systems, influencing technical direction, and improving infrastructure security.
The role also involves designing and implementing security/privacy controls to protect user data and comply with regulations.

Requirements:

10+ years of industry experience with at least 5 years in software development and building impactful security products or systems.
Experience with monitoring, metrics & reporting systems, and understanding relevant threats, attack patterns, and defense techniques.
Strong understanding of cloud-native application development and proficiency in at least one coding language.
Ability to communicate risks, priorities, and decisions effectively and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
Preferred experience includes contributing to open-source security tooling, speaking at security conferences, and designing security products for consumer-facing products.

Competitive salary range of CA$ 125,000 - CA$ 202,000, with equity and benefits included in the compensation package.
