Description:

  • Weave is seeking a Staff / Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their self-empowered teams in India.
  • The role involves contributing to both technical and non-technical aspects of projects focused on distributed backend systems, data, and scalability.
  • You will work on making machine learning more accessible and help design AI-powered features at Weave.
  • The position is fully remote and reports to the Director of Engineering.
  • Responsibilities include designing and developing machine learning infrastructure, tooling, and models, as well as consulting with teams on machine learning best practices.
  • You will build internal products to enable AI integration into customer-facing features and support data integration and event processing.
  • The role requires writing high-quality, sustainable code and collaborating with team members to foster growth and best practices.
  • You will work in a cloud environment and translate product goals into actionable engineering plans.

Requirements:

  • A high-integrity, team-focused approach with strong collaboration skills is essential.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a structured back-end language such as Go, Java, or Python, with Go and Python being a plus.
  • Experience in handling large data sets, specifically moving and storing TBs of data or hundreds of millions to billions of records is required.
  • Candidates must have experience building and deploying ML-driven B2B multi-tenant applications in production environments.
  • Familiarity with common ML technologies such as Python, Jupyter, and Workflow Engines (e.g., Dagster, MLFlow) is necessary.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and experience in building scalable, redundant, and observable services is required.
  • Candidates should have experience with public cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, GCP) and providing stable libraries and SDKs for internal use.
  • A self-driven attitude and a passion for learning in a rapidly changing industry are essential.
  • A demonstrated track record of delivering complex projects on time in enterprise-grade production environments is required.
