Description:
ConfigHub is seeking a Staff/Senior Staff Engineer for their backend team, focusing on building the next-generation configuration experience for cloud applications and infrastructure.
The role involves designing backend architecture, collaborating with the CTO and CPO on APIs and core product functionality, and building the initial backend.
The candidate will lead the backend team and incorporate AI to enhance user experience.
The backend/service will face various technical and design challenges, requiring support for multi-tenant operations and efficient execution of user-provided code.
The ideal candidate should be able to make key technology and architectural decisions and adapt those decisions as the product evolves.
The startup environment may present ambiguity in tasks, requiring the candidate to independently identify priorities and communicate plans effectively.
The candidate should have a vision for the systems they work on while being able to create incremental milestones and make trade-offs to deliver value quickly.
Previous experience in building SaaS services from concept to launch, including architecture design and hands-on implementation, is preferred.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
A minimum of 5+ years of SaaS backend development experience on a B2B SaaS product is required, covering areas such as authentication, authorization, REST APIs, and multi-tenancy.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Docker is necessary.
Candidates should have experience leading technical projects.
Nice-to-haves include experience with Go, building client surfaces like SDKs and CLI, Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Kubernetes, GraphQL, startups, B2B SaaS, and open-source contributions.
