Description:

Forma is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to manage foundational infrastructure and enhance developer experience.
The SRE will design and implement tools and services for engineering teams, focusing on cloud infrastructure (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
Responsibilities include building and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems, ensuring robust SLOs, logging, and tracing capabilities.
The role involves troubleshooting and resolving outages, conducting post-incident reviews, and implementing preventive measures.
SREs will advocate for automation by developing tools and scripts to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
The position requires analyzing complex problems, mentoring engineering team members, and applying software engineering principles to infrastructure and operations.
Conducting chaos engineering experiments to identify system weaknesses and improve resilience is also part of the role.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 8+ years of backend software development experience.
A strong understanding of operating systems (Linux, Windows), networking, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) is required.
Knowledge of containerization technologies (Kubernetes) and orchestration tools is essential.
Expertise in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java) and scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell) is necessary.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Circle CI, Github Actions) to automate software delivery and deployments is required.
Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform is needed.
Experience at an early-stage startup and in the fintech sector is a plus.
