Remote Staff Software Development Engineer

Description:

• Zscaler is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join their Engineering team in a remote capacity.
• The role involves developing and managing shared infrastructure automation for US federal, regulated, and sovereign cloud environments.
• Responsibilities include improving the security of CI/CD systems and automating change management processes.
• The engineer will define and enforce DevOps standards, best practices, and procedures across the engineering team.
• The position requires automating the build-out of new Zscaler clouds and creating delivery mechanisms for operational collateral.
• Participation in an on-call rotation to support a highly available engineering platform is also required.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of commercial services development experience.
• A minimum of 5+ years of public cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is necessary.
• Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems is essential.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and programming languages such as Go and Java is required.
