Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• The Staff Engineer will lead the Product Catalog efforts for LTK's Creator-Driven Shopping App, which will include billions of items and power scenarios like price drops, link management, retailer availability, search, and ranking.
• The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of e-commerce and product catalog systems, with experience in delivering business value in a high-growth environment.
• Responsibilities include simplifying processes, collaborating with engineering teams, and working closely with the VP of engineering and other departments.
• The role involves leading the building and scaling of Product Catalog, Exact Product Matching, and Product Search services.
• The Staff Engineer will bring expertise in Golang, Python, Vector Databases, and embedding technologies, and will be responsible for designing and building complex systems and solutions.
• Other duties include providing inputs on engineering excellence, evaluating new technologies, solving technical challenges, and creating technical documentation.

Requirements:

• More than 7 years of experience demonstrating a deep understanding of distributed systems and software development principles, architecture, and best practices.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proven leadership skills, project management abilities, and commitment to continuous learning.
• Strong technical skills in data storage, data processing, streaming data, cloud platforms, containerization, orchestration, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in optimizing big data applications for performance, throughput, and resource utilization.
