Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• The Staff Software Engineer, Search and Ranking position at LTK involves building and scaling a Product Search Service.
• The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Search and Ranking Technologies, including Vector Databases and embeddings.
• Responsibilities include leading technical initiatives, designing and building complex systems, and providing inputs on engineering and operational excellence.
• The role requires working closely with the VP of engineering and other departments to ensure business success.
• The focus will be on creating a Search and Ranking system for Creators to search for products from a catalog of billions of items.
• The position involves simplifying complex problems, challenging the team to find better solutions, and demonstrating innovation in solving technical challenges.

Requirements:

• More than 7 years of experience demonstrating a deep understanding of distributed systems and software development principles.
• Proficiency in Golang, Python, Vector Databases, and embedding technologies.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Expertise in designing and optimizing data processing pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and their big data services.
• Ability to lead projects from conception to completion, manage timelines, resources, and priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide guidance on technical decisions.
