Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• The Staff Fullstack Engineer will work remotely from anywhere within Colombia on the Application Experience team.
• This role involves building systems and features that ensure a consistent and enjoyable experience across all Fullstory products.
• The engineer will collaborate with senior leaders, cross-functional engineers, designers, and product management to develop critical features that drive enterprise adoption and create significant business impact.
• Responsibilities include mentoring and coaching other engineers, driving technical direction, and influencing engineering best practices.
• Daily tasks may involve collaborating with Design, PM, and Engineering teammates to plan, architect, and build complex features with customer feedback.
• The engineer will architect and scale systems that handle hundreds of thousands of requests per second using React, Typescript, and Go.
• Leading cross-functional end-to-end projects, breaking down work into manageable tasks, and guiding other engineers in implementation is expected.
• The role includes maintaining and troubleshooting parts of Fullstory's production environment, proactively identifying issues, and improving system reliability and performance.
• Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence is essential.
• The engineer will drive improvements to engineering processes, tooling, and best practices to enhance the overall efficiency of the engineering organization.

Requirements:

• A passion for building systems and experiences with excellent UX and attention to detail is required.
• Extensive experience in building enterprise-grade solutions and web systems at scale is necessary.
• The candidate should be a problem-solver who challenges the status quo and drives innovative solutions.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor other engineers while fostering a collaborative team environment is essential.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, along with experience writing Go code in a production environment.
• Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing) is required for collaboration with US-based teams, including daily communication and technical discussions.
• Experience with multi-product architecture, RBAC and access control systems, or SCIM is a plus.
