Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• The Staff Software Engineer will build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes, including code reviews and unit testing.
• This role involves working with product owners to understand detailed requirements and taking ownership of the code from design, implementation, test automation, and delivery of high-quality products to users.
• The engineer will design software that is simple to use, allowing customers to extend and customize functionality to meet their specific needs.
• Responsibilities include contributing to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing the existing product suite.
• The position also requires mentoring colleagues and promoting knowledge-sharing within the team.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 6+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented language.
• A passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, along with a focus on reusability and componentization, is essential.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations is required.
• Familiarity with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue is necessary.
• Strong analytical and design skills are important for success in this role.
• The ability to manage projects with material technical risk at a team level is also required.
