Description:
The Staff Software Engineer position at Subsplash is a remote role responsible for implementing client-side features and services across the Subsplash platform, with a focus on Payments and Giving.
The role involves partnering with tech leads and architecture to define and maintain the technical strategy.
Responsibilities include contributing to the shared component library for web and mobile platforms, providing strategic direction for shared frameworks and infrastructure, and ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of software systems.
The Staff Software Engineer will work closely with a scrum team, participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, and write and review documentation, API definitions, and code.
Coding languages involved in this role include HTML, CSS, Javascript, TypeScript, Go, PHP, Swift, Kotlin, Java, Object-C, and C/C++.
The role also includes mentoring team members, conducting interviews, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Requirements:
7+ years of full-time programming experience in a team environment, with at least 3 years focused on mobile development using React Native.
Proficiency in client-side technologies such as Javascript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Ember.js, React Native, Vue.js, etc.
Knowledge of server-side technologies like Unix/Linux, Golang, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB, and RESTful APIs.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, networking, network security, and Agile principles.
Ability to navigate ambiguous requirements, prioritize tasks, mentor others, and communicate technical requirements clearly.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
Additional qualifications include knowledge of jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JSON, cross-browser compatibility, native iOS and Android development, performance optimization, OAuth2, AWS, CI/CD, LEAN, SOLID, data security best practices, containerization, orchestration, and distributed systems.
Benefits:
The total compensation for this role ranges from $160,000 to $210,000 per year.
