Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• The Staff Software Engineer position at Twilio is for the Segment Platform Team.
• The role involves creating high-quality solutions for complex engineering problems and shaping the future of Core Foundations and Governance Platform for the next generation CDP.
• The mission is to assist businesses in unlocking customer insights and making faster and cost-effective decisions by developing industry-leading storage, data processing, and other critical services.
• Responsibilities include designing and building platform and product capabilities, building data pipelines using Go, Scala/Spark, and Kafka, creating scalable APIs, optimizing distributed systems, collaborating with engineering teams, mentoring other engineers, and participating in an on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in writing production-grade code in Golang, Java, or Scala.
• Strong hands-on experience in designing and implementing fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Proficiency in programming with languages like Go, Java, Scala, or similar.
• Experience with container orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes, EKS, ECS.
• Deep understanding of architectural patterns for high-scale web applications.
• Experience with data platforms or data pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
