Description:
Lark Health is seeking a talented Staff Software Engineer to join their team and help deliver high-quality, well-architected, reliable services to users.
The role involves focusing on the user enrollment portfolio, which includes both frontend and backend services that drive new enrollments into Lark.
The engineer will report directly to one of the Senior Managers and is expected to demonstrate deep expertise and technical leadership in multiple technology domains.
Responsibilities include collaborating with engineering leaders to define strategies, innovating and building new systems, and enhancing existing systems.
The engineer will lead collaboration with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve complex problems.
The role requires expertise in database design, particularly with platforms such as MySQL, DocumentDB, and DynamoDB.
The engineer will help improve monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies, optimize deployment pipelines, and establish a framework for rationalizing the architecture of Lark’s technology landscape.
The position includes leading design sessions, code reviews, and mentoring other engineers while promoting a culture of operational excellence.
Requirements:
Candidates must be fluent in one or more programming languages in Lark’s core stack, specifically Golang or TypeScript (NodeJS).
Experience with monitoring and alerting best practices is required, with familiarity with Datadog being a plus.
Expertise in data modeling and database design is essential.
Candidates should have experience with AWS or equivalent skills in other major cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.
Experience with serverless architecture, particularly AWS Lambda, is necessary.
Aptitude in static code analysis, integration, and functional testing is required.
Expertise with both SQL and NoSQL databases, especially MySQL, DocumentDB, and DynamoDB, is needed.
Proficiency in secure and efficient Docker image creation and deployment to Kubernetes and Docker Compose is required.
Candidates should have a strong focus on automated testing to reduce regressions and bugs.
Previous exposure to HIPAA/HITRUST/SOC 2 compliance and security best practices is highly valued.
