Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• The Staff Software Engineer will join the Web Experience team at SurveyMonkey.
• Responsibilities include implementing, improving, and driving adoption of the React-based design system library.
• Acting as a community leader working with 20+ engineering teams.
• Being a technical leader pushing forward front-end tools and technologies.
• Mentoring others on good software development practices.
• Developing and maintaining build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and software releases.
• Advocating for solutions that meet accessibility standards.
• Expanding the company’s adoption of TypeScript.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 12+ years in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience driving platform-wide front-end UI decisions.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript with a strong understanding of core concepts and modern features.
• Solid experience writing highly-performant software with the React framework.
• Proven expertise in build tools like Rollup, Webpack, NX, and CI/CD configuration.
• Strong understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Expertise with API design, such as GraphQL or REST.
