Warner Music Group is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their team in Toronto, Ontario, with a focus on building the next generation of Songkick.
The role involves ensuring the accuracy and comprehensiveness of concert data to enhance fan and artist interactions.
Responsibilities include backend development with a focus on API and service design, leadership and mentoring for engineering levels, and driving engineering excellence through code reviews and test strategies.

Requirements:

Candidates must have an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in backend development or data engineering is required.
Experience in building large-scale customer and business-facing applications is essential.
Strong coding skills and the ability to communicate empathetically are necessary, along with great design skills.
A passion for music and a desire to provide data that enhances music accessibility to larger audiences are important.
