Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• Xometry is seeking an experienced Staff-level Backend Engineer with expertise in Python or Rust to join their software engineering team.
• The role involves designing, coding, testing, and releasing software, including working with HTML, Typescript/Javascript/React, Python, and Rust.
• Collaboration with other engineers and product managers is essential to contribute to the evolution of the instant-quote product and technology platform.
• Operational responsibilities include deploying services into an AWS and Kubernetes environment and participating in an on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a software developer in a fast-paced technical environment.
• Strong English communication skills are required to effectively interact with diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, DOM web programming is necessary.
• Knowledge and experience in at least two of Python, Rust, and React are mandatory.
• Familiarity with software engineering principles related to security, scalability, asynchronous programming, and transactions is essential.
• Attention to detail, good work ethic, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and strong communication skills are required.
