Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• The Staff Software Engineer position at Honor is focused on enhancing efficiency across various functional groups by automating high-touch user workflows on the care platform.
• The role involves stacking foundational solution patterns to build cohesive user experiences and lowering the operational cost of running the care platform.
• The ideal candidate will be creative, think outside the box, and build simple and elegant solutions for a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Responsibilities include taking ownership of initiatives from concept to production and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• The position requires experience in building and maintaining production-grade features in Python or similar languages like Node.js, working with legacy code, and designing and implementing large, complex projects.
• Candidates should have strong communication skills, experience with distributed systems and cloud services like AWS, and be willing to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Additional qualifications include familiarity with technology startups, RPC architecture, microservice architecture, frontend development with JavaScript frameworks like React, observability and monitoring tools like DataDog, and mentoring other engineers.
• Technologies used in this role include Python, Thrift, MySQL, AWS, JavaScript, Looker, GitHub, and DataDog.
