Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• The Staff Engineer will lead the Product Matching efforts at LTK, focusing on the Product Catalog which powers scenarios such as price drops, link management, retailer availability, search, and ranking.
• The role involves de-duplicating and reconciling exact products across retailers to surface them to creators and shoppers.
• The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of e-commerce and product catalog systems, with experience in building highly scalable systems in a fast-moving environment.
• Responsibilities include leading the building and scaling of Product Catalog, Exact Product Matching, and Product Search services.
• The Staff Engineer will collaborate with engineering teams, provide inputs on operational excellence, identify new technologies, and drive innovation and technical excellence.
• The role requires designing, developing, and deploying software solutions, taking ownership of complex issues, and mentoring and coaching teams within the department.

Requirements:

• More than 7 years of experience demonstrating a deep understanding of distributed systems and software development principles.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Expertise in Golang, Python, Vector Databases, and embedding technologies.
• Strong command of data storage technologies, data processing frameworks, cloud platforms, containerization, and orchestration tools.
• Experience in designing and optimizing data processing pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Proficiency in optimizing big data applications for performance, throughput, and resource utilization.
• Ability to lead projects, manage timelines and resources effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide guidance on technical decisions.
