Description:
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be a strategic member of a collaborative engineering organization.
You will be responsible for the design and delivery of cloud-based software that supports the operation and growth of the Signify Health business.
In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize Signify Health applications and cloud-based microservices.
You will advocate for the use of modern software engineering best practices.
Collaboration with architects and software engineers to introduce new technologies will be a key part of your responsibilities.
You will design and develop solutions for complex enterprise-scale business problems.
Understanding both business and technical implications of architectural decisions is essential.
You will drive improvements to software engineering practices and lead the adoption of leading-edge technologies.
Continual investment in personal and team learning and mentorship is expected.
Requirements:
You must have 10+ years of software development and/or architecture experience.
A strong foundation in commercial software engineering, including problem solving, data structures, algorithms, patterns, and concurrency is required.
Experience as a senior developer who has shipped enterprise-grade software using programming languages such as C#, Java, Kotlin, Golang, Javascript, and Typescript is necessary.
Hands-on experience with asynchronous, event-based systems design and architecture using tools like MSMQ, Kafka, and RabbitMQ is required.
Practical knowledge of Kubernetes microservice orchestration patterns is essential.
You should have demonstrable development experience in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills are a must.
A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience is preferred.
Knowledge of APM platforms such as New Relic, Data Dog, and Splunk is advantageous.
Experience in healthcare technology and with agile methodologies is preferred.
Benefits:
The base salary hiring range for this position is $128,500 to $223,900, with compensation determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
